Mary May (Coolen) Devaney
May Devaney was born at Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada on 4 May 1889, daughter of Joseph Coolen and Ann Hearn. She married Edward Devaney in 1909 and they had eight children. She died in 1972 at the age of 82.

Weldon and George Coolen
Weldon and George Coolen are the sons of George Coolen and Viola Christian. George Coolen was born in 1925 and Weldon Coolen was born in 1927, the brothers look to be about 16 and 18 years old in this picture.

Patrick Coolen and friend during WWI
Patrick Coolen was the son of Joseph Coolen and Ann Hearn. This picture shows Patrick in France or England where barracks have been set up to house soldiers during WWII. Patrick is the man on the left. .

George Earl Coolen
George Earl Coolen, son of George Coolen and Viola Christian was born at Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada ca. 1925. George was in his late teens when this picture was taken and had just joined the navy near the end of WWII.
